The dates for this year’s assessment day for Driver of the Year and Apprentice of the Year have just been confirmed.
Finalists in the Driver of the Year and Apprentice of the Year for this year’s Export & Freight Transport and Logistics Awards will be invited to attend a special assessment day at Transport Training Services (TTS) at Nutts Corner on Saturday, 23rd August.
Finalists in the ‘Driver of the Year’ will spend the day at TTS where they will be put them through their paces through a series of challenges and manoeuvres by two professional judges. Their progress will also be filmed, and the footage will be shown at the Gala Awards Night in September.
Similarly, finalists in the Apprentice of the Year will have to undertake a number of specific tasks and their work will be judged by experts.
This is always a very exciting day, and one that both drivers and apprentices enjoy taking part in, with those judged best getting their hands on the Export & Freight award, which will be presented at the Gala Awards Night on Thursday, 11th September at the Crowne Plaza in Belfast in front of an audience of over 500 guests.
