DVA introduces new online driving licence service

It’s now easy to view and share your driving licence details with the Driver and Vehicle Agency’s (DVA) new online service.

With the View and Share Licence service anyone who holds a Northern Ireland driving licence can easily and securely upload and view their licence details. To access this customers will need to create a nidirect account and have their identity verified.

This service also allows customers to share driving licence details quickly and safely using a unique licence check code. This can then be given to employers or other third parties such as a car-hire firm, making it easier than ever to confirm driving licence details.

Jeremy Logan, CEO, DVA said: “DVA is committed to delivering a fast, easy to use, secure digital service for all of our customers. Our View and Share Licence Service has done just that. With a couple of clicks customers can not only share their driving licence details with a third party but can also check their full driving history along with any entitlements or endorsements they may have. It’s quick and simple to use.”

Seamus Leheny, Northern Ireland Policy Manager, Logistics UK said: “I welcome the roll out of this new View and Share Licence Service by DVA. This service will be beneficial to the logistics industry in Northern Ireland and across the UK helping to reduce workloads by providing a safe, secure and streamlined mechanism to efficiently check and share driving licence details.”
