Summer is coming
Welcome to the May June issue of Export & Freight magazine.
For a few weeks there it was hard to tell whether we were in Belfast or Benidorm the weather was so good. And while the warm weather was great, it wasn’t so nice for all of us who had to work – unless you were in an air-conditioned office, car or truck cab that is. But enough about the weather!
In this packed edition of Export & Freight we have a special focus feature on Freeburn Transport, a young transport company that is well and truly on the move.
We have our regular columns from the RHA’s Martin Reid and Logistics UK Nichola Mallon. And for this issue we welcome a new column from legal expert John McMahon.
I also report from Millbrook where I went at the invitation of Iveco to see their reimagined truck range. The truck manufacturer took the unusual step of relaunching their entire range in one go, and invited customers, dealers and the media to be the first to see and drive their new products.
In this issue we also look back at this year’s CV Show, and take a look forward to Road Transport Expo (RTX) which runs from 24-26 June at Stoneleigh.
And we also put the spotlight on our awards, as the deadline for completed entries approaches, and we introduce a new category that may be of interest to many businesses out there – Supply Chains of the Future.
We hope you enjoy reading this issue, as it has been a pleasure putting it together. Let’s just hope the sun returns as the summer break approaches..
