New advanced Goodyear eJob for automated fleet inspections

Goodyear has launched an advanced version of its automated fleet inspection tool, eJob. This smart application partly automates and streamlines the total truck and bus fleet inspection process, from registration to maintenance, roadside assistance, retreading and warranty for service providers.

From a fleet perspective, eJob offers full transparency of all maintenance and fleet inspections carried out, visible within seconds of job submission, from anywhere in Europe.

The smart application is supporting Goodyear FleetOnlineSolutions (FOS), one of the leading fleet tyre management systems on the market. This advanced platform provides fleets and tyre dealers managing the fleet a full overview including all vehicles, their location, applied tyre policy and agreed terms as well as warranty.

Regular fleet inspections increase uptime and prevent potential tyre related issues and costs. However, they can be time-consuming for a business that is always on a deadline.

“Checking a fleet of fifty vehicles can easily take up to twenty hours. The latest version of eJob takes the fleet inspection process to the next level, providing full automation from tyre registration, recording of remaining tread depth and tyre pressure as well as planning the next steps in the tyre maintenance and management process,” says Maciej Szymanski, Director Marketing Commercial Europe for Goodyear.

The application can be installed on an Android tablet (OS 7 and above) and enables tyre technicians to record and transmit tyre data, as well as send pictures to the end-customer from any location across Europe. All data is instantly transmitted via Goodyear FleetOnlineSolutions to truck operators and offers full transparency on the tyre management provided. The fleet customer can virtually see the condition of the tyre, reason for the exchange and list of work done by its service partner.

With a simple barcode scan, the technician registers all key tyre data directly from the manufacturing database, including tyre name, product code, size and type, original tread depth as well as agreed maintenance policy with the customer. New features of eJob include also the management of stored customer tyres as well as completed and synchronized jobs.

eJob is available to service providers, in multiple languages and is an integral part of Goodyear Total Mobility. Known as a fully customisable one-stop offer to serve the needs local and long-haul transportation companies
