Dean Miller has been appointed managing director of Motus Vehicle Solutions (MVS), part of Motus Group (UK). He replaces Peter Glover, who retires after 30 years in the company, the last nine as MD.
The multi-faceted MVS operates across a variety of road transport related areas: vehicle modifications and conversions through Mackworth Vehicle Conversions; tail lift installation, maintenance and repair through Humberside Tail Lifts, parts through Parts 4 Tail Lifts and service training through Training 4 Tail Lifts; vehicle and trailer parts, maintenance and reconditioning through Truck & Trailer Equipment; truck bodies through ROCO; logistics and distribution though RLP Distribution; and nationwide mobile maintenance, servicing and repair through Aftercare Response.
Miller, 44, had worked in the CV sector for some 25 years and was working for Bevans as Head of Sales at Aftercare Response when it was acquired by MVS in late 2024. Thereafter, he became Client Relationship Director for Bevans before joining Motus Group (UK) to take on his new role.
He said, “When Peter Glover first spoke to me about the role as his possible replacement, I was extremely interested, not least because of the diversity of business activities in the group. It was a brilliant opportunity, and I was only too happy to join the list of other interested parties and go through the full and challenging interview process. Having been successful, it’s great to be working with old and new colleagues who share the same appetite to grow the division.”
Today, Miller believes there are major opportunities in what he sees as the added value each business can bring operators and others. “All eight companies in the business are well-founded and successful,” he says, “and all have the capability for strong organic growth. Helping that will be a planned closer relationship with other Motus Group (UK) businesses. For instance, in Motus Commercials, we have a ‘sister company’ that is the biggest DAF dealer group in the UK, and there are similar opportunities with the fast-growing LCV operations of the Pentagon Motor Group – another part of Motus Group (UK).”
