Scania has further strengthened its network in the UK with the opening of its newest branch in Stockton-on-Tees.
This new ground up facility has been designed and built in the heartland of Teesside’s industrial hub, where trucks continuously serve the oil refineries, freight port and the region’s large chemicals, steel and heavy industries.
Stockton will replace Scania’s Darlington branch, which has been operational for more than 40 years and was working close to capacity. This new site will give the team more space to work, measuring in three times larger than the old site in Darlington.
The new service centre will employ 34 employees, growing to 40 in due course, and is fitted with the latest equipment, providing Scania’s technicians with an improved working environment to comfortably work on diesel, gas, battery electric and petroleum regulation vehicles, safely and correctly. And elevate the customer’s experience while they wait for their vehicle.

Although we’ve had a presence in the Teesside area for more than 40 years, it was time to increase our workshop capacity and give our team on the ground – all the tools to do their job today and be able support vehicle technologies of the future.
“This investment into Stockton is a clear indication of Scania’s commitment to the UK – not only from investing in the country, but also supporting the region and the people of Stockton and the North East too.
