Steven takes on charity Trek to Everest Base Camp

A prominent member of Northern Ireland’s Transport and Logistics sector is currently taking on a massive charity challenge.

Montgomery Transport’s Group Managing Director Steven McBride is walking to Everest Base Camp to raise money for ‘Cash for Kids’.

“This April, I’m taking on the biggest challenge of my life: trekking to Everest Base Camp. I’ll be reaching altitudes of 5,364 meters, facing thin air, freezing temperatures, and some very sore legs – all to support the incredible work of ‘Cash for Kids Northern Ireland’.

The Mission
I’m pushing my limits so we can help local children who are facing their own uphill battles. Whether it’s alleviating poverty or supporting those with disabilities, every penny raised stays right here in Northern Ireland.

Steven gives an example of how his donations could help children:

£10 could provide a warm meal.
£50 could fund essential sensory equipment.

But any amount makes those steep Himalayan climbs feel a little flatter, he says.

As of 31st March, Steven has reached 70% of his £5,000 target, having raised just over £3,500.

Please donate if you can, and don’t forget to leave a message (or a video!) to keep me motivated when the oxygen gets thin!

Montgomery Transport are strong supporters of Cash for Kids, and Steven is delighted to be supporting them through his efforts this April.
