Autumn Traffic Commissioner Seminars beginning next month

The RHA-run Autumn series of the Traffic Commissioners seminars are beginning next month, with many of the events already fully booked.

The Autumn series of seminars will start on 3rd October, with an event held in Thirsk, North Yorkshire and will finish almost six weeks later in Bodmin, Cornwall on 16th November.

Phil Snowden, Membership Director at the RHA, said: “This is a great networking opportunity with like-minded individuals, where you can hear from and speak to the regulators. This time around we are talking about drivers and how they impact your business from a legal and regulatory standpoint.”

The preferred format for the event usually consists of industry updates at the beginning before a sponsor talk, and then the Traffic Commissioners will give an annual update. The Autumn’s seminars cover England and Wales this year. The seminars are also PCD qualifying.

Topics will include:

-Driver Responsibilities – Looking at the drivers’ responsibilities for regulation and legislative compliance. (Traffic Commissioner)

-Mock Driver Conduct Hearing – Backhouse Jones show operators just what happens in a driver conduct hearing and what operators need to know. (RHA Legal Services)

-Emerging Battery Technology and an overview of Cost of Ownership of your fleet – Ecobat Battery will demonstrate how you can make the right choice in replacement batteries, maintain a proactive battery health regime and keep your trucks and drivers on the road.
