Logistics UK’s Transport Manager Conference Set for Belfast

Calling all businesses in Belfast – do you use vehicles like vans or HGVs in your daily work?  If so, then are you and your team up to speed with the latest rules and regulations which govern their use?  Make sure you book your place at Logistics UK’s popular Transport Manager conference, which is coming to the Culloden Estate & Spa, Belfast on 12 October 2021.

The event will highlight key issues for anyone involved in running vehicle fleets, provide professional advice, and help managers remain compliant and up to speed on the latest legislative developments. Topics to be covered at the one-day event will include logistics in urban centres, low emission vehicles, working safely with alternative fuels, a compliance update and much more.

Despite the disruption and challenges faced as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, transport managers are still legally required to keep their professional knowledge up to date and ensure their operations remain compliant, making this a must-attend event.

Sponsored by Bridgestone Tyres, the line-up of expert speakers at the conference includes senior industry figures and policy makers, including David Mullan from the Transport Regulation Unit.  Attendees will be able to ask questions on matters which could affect their fleets’ future compliance and ensure that their operations remain road-ready for the coming year. The event is also sponsored by Brigade Electronics.

James Firth, Logistics UK’s Head of Road Freight Regulation Policy, comments: “We are very much looking forward to greeting delegates in person in Belfast. This popular conference series enables busy transport managers to stay up to date with ever-changing legislation and good practice advice.  Compliance is vital in the logistics industry; it has been a challenging 12 months for anyone operating vehicles in their businesses, and the Transport Manager conference provides operators with peace of mind that they are equipped with all the information they need, as well as giving them the opportunity to hear from senior figures in the industry and have their questions answered.

“We are thrilled to have the involvement of the Transport Regulation Unit at this event; it is a hugely popular session and their participation is hugely valuable for our attendees.”

The price for Logistics UK members is £295 plus VAT for the first delegate and £265 plus VAT for subsequent delegates; for non-Logistics UK members the cost is £395 plus VAT for the first delegate and £365 plus VAT for subsequent delegates.
