MAN Truck & Bus UK Ltd delivers on new charity fundraising deal

Swindon-based MAN Truck & Bus UK Ltd has announced their new charitable partner, Alzheimer’s Society.

Alzheimer’s Society was founded in 1979 by a group of concerned individuals who recognised the need for an organisation that could unite caregivers, provide support to those facing Alzheimer’s and other dementias, and help advance research into the disease.

Stefan Thyssen, Managing Director, MAN Truck & Bus UK Ltd, said: “When choosing which charity to support we asked staff from across the network to send in their suggestions, and the winner, backed by a clear majority vote, was the amazing Alzheimer’s Society.

“The decision to support Alzheimer’s Society was very personal for a number of employees and we were thoroughly impressed by the heart-warming passion surrounding this life-reducing disease.”

“As a people-first focussed business, at MAN we are incredibly excited to be partnering with such a prestigious organisation, an organisation that has, for over four decades, helped millions of people, treating them with courtesy, dignity, appreciation and compassion,” added Stefan.

Alzheimer’s Society is made up of people with dementia, carers, trusted experts, campaigners, researchers and clinicians. They are the UK’s largest collective force of people with unparalleled knowledge and over 40 years of experience addressing the biggest challenges facing people living with dementia.
