TIP’s UK and Ireland Workshops Attain Prestigious IRTE Workshop Accreditation

TIP, who provide trailer and truck hire, maintenance and associated services, has had its network of workshops throughout the UK and Ireland attain the prestigious ‘IRTE Workshop Accreditation’ to demonstrate its commitment to its customers in delivering exceptional service.

Administered by the Institute of Road Transport Engineers, a professional body dedicated to the road transport industry and part of the Society of Operations Engineers (SOE), the IRTE Workshop Accreditation is valid for three years.

The IRTE Workshop Accreditation represents a best practice audit of workshop standards, conducted through an independent review of procedures and practices by official scheme auditors over several weeks. Areas scrutinised included workshop cleanliness, tooling and procedures, record keeping, document compliance and MOT pass rates.

Key factors contributing to TIP’s achievement of this accreditation include the continuous training of mechanics on the latest trailer and heavy goods vehicle technologies, a steadfast emphasis on quality control within the workshop environment and an acute focus of health and safety.

The accreditation sees TIP’s workshops listed on the respected IRTE Workshop Accreditation Register, providing invaluable information for transport operators regarding accredited maintenance providers’ services, facilities, test pass rates, HSE notices and more.

“We are thrilled to have our workshops recognised with the IRTE Workshop Accreditation,” said Mark Carlin, Fleet and Engineering Director at TIP. “This achievement confirms our dedication to excellence and bolsters our commitment to providing peace of mind to operators who rely on our services in maintaining their assets.”
